Something else is even more concerning . If there is a major life threatening event, many more people will suffer. We are much more dependent on our technology now.

If Europe and America are overpopulated...then why do you same people keep demanding we accept more people in? They're going to breed more rapidly than we do (as they have been), and they're going to add to the supposed problem.

Obviously, part of the answer is that overpopulation is a stupid and racist theory. Almost anywhere, there is obviously much room for lots more people.

Yosef MacGruber Sex feels good the same way that eating and sleeping feels good. It's just a matter of being responsible. You eat too much at a time or the wrong thing, you get fat. Not enough and you starve. Lay in bed too long and your muscles atrophy, but stay awake too long and your body breaks down. Sex feels good so that like any other organism, we will procreate, but unlike other animals, we have to be responsible not to spread disease or have unplanned births. As long as two or more people are adults and consent to what they're doing, why shouldn't they be allowed to have sex? I really don't think God cares.
Advances like indoor plumbing were created because of sanitation needs that even a hermit has. Sanitation is one of the many things that suffers when you have more people than the infrastructure is ready for. This is the only reason there should be a race or rather a regulation between the developed and undeveloped countries. The culture needs to reach homeostasis. There are finite resources such as land and feul. If you want a situation where we recycle our own waste and build stacked structures, we will need an infrastructure that stays ahead of the population and it would still be fragile. You could have towers full of people that never leave and use waste as fuel with greenhouses and labs for food and air, but that's a miserable. You claim to shun socialism, but you compare work to slavery. If you don't want to work, you can always go live in the woods or go to a place with cheap cost of living, but you may not have proper healthcare or nutrition. Capitalism is just the barter system that even animals have; one organism gives or does something for the other in exchange for something else.

Yosef MacGruber Dismissing my stance, falsely accusing me of being a pagan, and saying "yawn" doesn't invalidate the facts.
Condoms and iuds are not "nasty." And even then, there are other methods like the pill and injections.
An organism that benefits at the expense of its host without giving anything in return is by definition, a parasite.
There is nothing wrong with people in India practicing whatever religion they see fit. The problem is that the infrastructure cannot support the people. The have poor public works, poor access to healthcare, corrupt government, etc. This makes it near impossible for people to afford, let alone have access to decent medical care. This does have to do with too many children in that you sort out your own situation before adding another person to it.
There is no "eco guilt" so much as that it's a finite resource unless it's maintained or at least allowed to recover. If we have a completely synthetic ecosystem, more can go wrong with it, especially in a bureaucracy.
I'm not anti family, just pro responsibility. If you are living pay check to pay check and you have a kid, you can't afford to properly care for them. If you wait until you have more money saved up and/or get a better job, you can better support a child later on. This isn't an all or nothing situation.
I don't care how many people are involved in a sexual encounter, single, prostitution, married or not, orgy, or masturbation. People deserve to enjoy sex as long as they are taking reasonable measures to avoid the spread of disease and not having unplanned births.
What's more is that some people are just bad parents with or without the capital and resources that it takes to raise a child and give them all the advantages a child deserves. It's not a distracting from government corruption, so that doesn't make any sense.
God gave us dominion over every living thing, which comes with responsibilities. You seem fine with wiping out other species we are supposed to shepard.

Yawn. Old anti-life argument from uncreative pagans, who don't much bother to research their stupid opinions.

Nasty condoms or IUDs seek to prevent actual human life of real future people.

Irrelevant biology lesson. People are not mere animals.

Stop overpopulating? Bogus accusation.

Parasitic? Baseless accusation.

Guilt by association fallacy. Just because India is dirty due to rampant false religion, doesn't make all large families share in this misconstrued "eco-guilt".

Could easily be solved by modern medicine? And this has what to do with supposedly having "too many" children?

When there is sufficient freedom, human population growth self-accommodates. Rampant corrupt government and rampant false religion, share a lot of the blame for the rampant poverty that they had spread.

Why are you seeking to eco-guilt people for having children? Do I have to justify my use of money to you? Is my money my money, or your money? If I value children, who are you to say that I am wrong?

The culture needs to change indeed, but not in the anti-family way that you suggest. I do not believe in government aid. That is wrong according to principles of limited government and "Thou shalt not steal".

Why don't you simply say, "They should stop having sex." Why do you not say that? Because you would be laughed at. "Heretic! Killjoy!" they may call you. Like you can convince responsibly married couples to just forget about their need for sex? Ha! Sex=babies, well especially for the huge numbers of people who have objections to all methods of birth control. Who do you think you are, to just pretend like those objections are not valid?

The purpose of birth control is to promote sexual sin, and to let corrupt government off the hook for diminishing and destroying the economy. What problem could not be wrongly blamed upon "just too many" people? What a broad cop-out excuse for the lack of proper reforms.

So what if so many people are "squirting out children"? Isn't that their natural and God-given right? Who says that people must go against nature and against their genes and against God's commandment to people to Be fruitful and multiply and to fill the earth, and struggle with birth control that they do not really want? Maybe if society wasn't so sex-obsessed, maybe not so many babies would be "squirting out". Yet where is the whining about too much sex going on? You all like the so much sex? Then deal with the population growth.

Why do you pretend like it is some "race" between population growth and technology growth, when population growth is a lot of what drove the technology improvements that we so much take for granted? Do you really think that inventions such as toilets, are just for our mere comforts and convenience? Rather, it was an accommodation for a world that adds another billion people every 12 years or so. To help us deal with the challenge of keeping waste water and drinking water separate. That is the real reason why we have modern plumbing, isn't it? You are assuming too much the Malthusian mindset, instead of considering that a larger and denser world population, actually in many ways, tends to make things better.

There is no need to have people to live in tiny spaces. That is communist anti-progress thinking. There are ample resources to build larger spaces for people. The resources are not that finite.

Yosef MacGruber oh I get it. You're pro life so you want the kid to get born but you don't care what happens to them after that. Using condom or iud is not ending a life.
If there are more people in the eater cultures than feeder cultures, the quality of life goes down for everyone. I would be better for the eater cultures to conform to a feeding culture and stop over populating than to taking advantage of the good nature of the feeder cultures while giving nothing in return. It boarders on parasitic. Places like India don't care about pollution or quality of life. They have people living in squaler with health problems that could be easily solved with modern medicine, but rather than making sure that their economy and technology catches up to their population, they take what others give out of generosity and use the slight bump in quality of life to have more children. The culture needs to change. You put someone on government aid, they should stop having kids instead of forcing working people to support more and more kids on government aid. If you are barely getting by, you still deserve a healthy sex life, but you are in no position to support a child if you can't comfortably support yourself. That's the purpose of birth control. This is harder to even find work when more and more things are automated and more people are squirting out kids. We keep having too many kids for technology to keep up and truly make work "optional." It's still a necessity and a high demand source of income. You want to throw a party before the rent is paid.
When I say an artificial environment, I mean one in which we have to cram into tiny living spaces and only farmland as plant life. The end result would be an incredibly fragile and miserable ecosystem that requires constant monitoring by very flawed governments. It also limits the genetic resources we have for medicine and food, as well as wiping out whole species. What's your plan? Keep building until we reach the stratosphere and hope nothing bumps the house of cards? If our space exploration could catch up, it wouldn't be a problem. But right now, we have finite resources.

Babies happen. Birth control is notoriously unreliable, a practical reason to not even bother with birth control. It is wrong to discriminate against people who have more than 3 children. There are no practical nor any moral means to somehow "control" human population growth. Let the people grow naturally and adapt to it.

Want to know our future seems docter Calhoun with his mouse utopia experiment Comes close whats happening today whit us

+Andy Hanterick
I agree with a few aspects of the experiment, as in being a pro-lifer, I believe we should neither restrain the natural growth of our human numbers not with denying people food, nor with birth control. And how many people realize that even the once-spacious U.S. has a huge human population now, already standing at a whopping third of a billion people? Seems to be an ominous or a pleasant global trend. The huge human herd naturally grows and grows. Something like 350,000 babies are born every day! Sure, let the huge world population completely double its numbers, every 55 years or however long that it takes. I believe we should allow the natural human "population explosion" to run its natural course, population accommodation only, no efforts to somehow "control" it. Surely it is for some great purpose that not everybody quite understands yet, much like a growing baby in the womb, does not quite understand why he or she is literally outgrowing the womb, towards "birth into a far better realm". Human fertility is very hard to control, and human populations grow so easily. Almost like we are meant to grow. Oh wait, God clearly commanded us to grow, in case there was any doubt.

But the experiment is about as pagan as can be, and rigged to produce the predictable pre-determined results that they wanted. What about the ape experiment? Why don't they like to talk about that one? Of course, apes multiply too slowly, so they just crammed more apes into the same enclosure. The apes became less aggressive and sought to avoid conflict, and took to grooming one another. Oops. The apes adapted too well, where is the propaganda value in that? Perhaps the experiment was tainted, as the apes may have guessed that their human captors wanted for them to get along with one another, and had no idea why their numbers were growing. Even pets can do well with being overcrowded, if they are well taken care of. Calhoun's experiment would be a much better argument against NWO Agenda 21 mad-scientist experimental rat-cage cities. Sure, even I think it could be a good idea to have very high urban densities, well if the world wasn't already ruined by too many evil leftist control freaks, who use the urban-cramming occasion as an opportunity to control and manipulate everybody. I love the idea of "walk-able" cities with no need of owning a car. Also, I am not so much bothered by the natural music of many nearby neighbors reproducing babies, coming through the thin apartment walls or through the open windows at night. Literally hearing the eerily-beautiful sounds of the already-huge human race, further expanding with each passing year. According to something I saw on the internet, what do you do when you hear the neighbors having sex? Well if you are married, you could enjoy sex at the same time. Well obviously, and I easily could have done so, had I been married. Sexual arousal is contagious. Hearing other people mating, reminds a person how incredibly good that it feels. Well might as well forget about population control then, as baby booms are naturally "contagious", for a lot of understandable reasons. When everybody around you is having so many babies, it helps awaken natural yearnings to also reproduce. Like huge numbers of people, I also have objections to all methods of birth control. I believe we should respect and embrace our bodies' reproductive rhythms, and not fight its monthly attempts to get pregnant. I am quite okay with immigrants or large-family or religious people of faith, pushing out baby after baby after baby and making no attempts to restrain the naturally burgeoning size the world population. Packing and stacking people together, would make a lot more sense than imposing birth control onto people who clearly do not want it. However, I do not have the confidence that the liberal-leftist morons who design and ruin the cities, can produce utopian population-efficient cities that are livable. Their track record is poor so far. So I follow the example the Bible, of Abraham and Lot's growing tribes, moving farther apart, so as to make room for their continual growth. Spreading out should be our first option, according to the example of the Bible. But Agenda 21 is anti-growth, anti-family, and seems very much opposed to the "human encroachment into the wilderness" that spreading out would represent, with the world population supposedly naturally becoming so bursting-big that it supposedly might take the entire planet to hold us all. The confines of their reckless experiment were too small. They did not give the mice the entire planet, but imposed artificial boundaries. The lesson to be learned, should have been, not to impose arbitrary boundaries upon the natural human population growth. With only 7% of the world's population being in countries that are not growing (old stat I heard somewhere), why shouldn't humans have the free reign of the entire planet, so as to ensure plenty of room for us to keep enjoying growing our families? Of course, we are not going to give mere mice free reign of the entire planet. For it obviously would not give them the pre-determined clear anti-population conclusion that they were looking for.

That irresponsible experiment also runs afoul of the morally-sensible taboo against talking negative garbage about human population growth. It is not a subject to bring up in polite company, and tends to lead to arguments among know-littles who are already so confused about the issue. Another reason we do not like to talk about it, is that further human population growth so much appears to be inevitable, perhaps even unstoppable. And obviously, people do not want to be told how many children that they can have.

Well did I sufficiently explain why I find that experiment to be so pointless and offensive? It really does little or nothing towards helping us to proper understand the global population situation. Obviously, we need to allow the world to grow denser and denser with people, as there is just getting to be so many of us. But there is plenty of room to expand into, well into the foreseeable future. Humans are among the slowest reproducing of God's creatures. And yet we see to have the most craving for natural and procreative sex. We humans enjoy being constantly "in heat", not subject to a limited "breeding season" as with animals. We celebrate our birthdays year-round and our babies are born in all seasons, without ever any rest in the natural country or global baby production. That alone should tell us that humans were meant to multiply naturally without using any means of birth control. Humans have a long generational time, and also a long gestational time, and I am confident that the time it takes us to grow, is already a sufficient restraint to allow us ample time to prepare and to adapt to our gradual and fairly-predictable, although relentless, natural population rise. There is no need to further control it.

Today's trans-gender confusion, is not due to humans being mice, but rather due to the Church not sufficiently opposing sexual perversion. Choice has become such an idol, that people think that they can "choose" their gender, rather than accepting God's assigned gender? And that sort of behavior occurs in spoiled-rotten rich areas of the world, that are not even much crowded, other than urban-choice. What is to keep so many people crammed into big cities? There are rural places all around, if anybody should want to spread out. So I find the experiment to be reckless, offensive, and irrelevant. And I think if getting married younger and having bigger families was more encouraged, if more countries were strongly pro-life, there would be a lot less trans-gender confusion going on, and the big baby booms would be quite beautiful.

Also, as or if we keep on cramming more billions of people onto a planet that is not getting any bigger, I think that people do deserve a little bit of explanation that they can understand. As with the "tainted" ape experiment, we should tell people that indeed we can allow for poorly-planned location cities before it was understood just how massive human populations could potentially get, that it is okay and understandable to allow huge cities to spread and to coalesce into one another, and that we should promote the social graces all the more, hold doors open for strangers and such, as a world increasing "crowded" with people ought to expect better behavior out of people. Everybody is important, and our value does not diminish with the rising population size, because every human being is created in God's image, so each person has purpose, should have a supported sense of belonging, be given meaningful work to do, and every human life is of immense value and sacred.

Humans can and should be expected to adapt. Adapting is much less harsh than imposing birth control that so many people obviously do not want. Mice couldn't understand what was happening to them, and they couldn't adapt. Humans ≠ mice.

Yosef MacGruber the experiment was to see how a population developt in a utopian environment. Utopian enviroment is 1 no predators 2 plenty of food and water. Only limitation was space. The experiment was taken in a tank that could hold 3000 Mice . The experiment was to see the behavior of Mice when al availeble space is taken .8 starter mice where introduced 4 male 4 female . Firsts you got the exploration fase . Mouse population didn't grow , the second fase is grow fase every 55 days the colony doubled in population. Until the population reached 2200 mice . Then the stagnationfase . Births dropt by 1/3 and the colony was seeing odd behavior . Homoseksuality and pan seksualty. And also hightend agression toward each other . And the voilence was happening in 3 stages , female mice takes over male role of protector and also became agresive . Last fase of the colony is death . The last generation of mice where called ( the beautyfull ones ) these mice didn't involved with courtship ore fighting they only eat , slept, and groomed theyre days away. And the colony died out , all complicated behavior was terminated . Bringing one of these beautyfull ones back in a natural environment in the hope that natural behavior would resume . Answer. Negative ones a Social behavior is changed it is inreverseble. You say Mice aint humans . That right humans only have a bigger brain . BUT there is weird behavior in the human colony of homoseksuality and pan seksualty. Says to me Mice and human are different BUT Both animals that have a biological nature of things

"BS, a total boldface lie!"...
R. Buxminster Fuller (see ref below) disproved this lie mathematically in the 1970's! He correctly calculated that everyone on the face of the Earth could step into the office space of New York City as though at a party, leaving the Earth bare of humans. He worked this when the population was about half of what it is today. So if you added in the office space of say Tokyo today you could prove the same thing, that there is no over population when you compare people to land mass...
Note: The real population problem is poor leadership, and corrupt mismanagement of our resources.

Unless there is another huge breakthrough like the Industrial Revolution, Malthus will be correct eventually. The Earth is a finite resource, and its starting to show the strain.

Malthus was correct on a few things. Due to his religious belief, clergyman Thomas Malthus believed that the "temporary unhappiness of abstinence" was the only moral way of controlling human fertility. Of course abstinence is not thought practical for MARRIED couples. Malthus said that the passion between the (opposite) sexes is very great and unlikely to change much. But today's educated moron Malthusians, hardly even know the things that Malthus said, nor where Malthusian-ism went horribly wrong. How dare they be even more Malthusian than Malthus was. Evil leftist control freaks.

Also, considering Malthus's religious persuasion, Malthus was quite obviously a heretic. How dare he suggest that God would not or could not provide for his people? He should have known better.
