I am not into fish that much but this changed my mind. I used crab cakes and put them on the grill, it added another layer of flaver. LOL :)

we cut the fillet, and landing this Striper was not boring in the least. But you needed to sound off, eh? Move on, you're boring us, chump..! lol -BBQ Pit Boys

Is that Grilling a whole fresh fish with bones or grilling a boring commercial fillet of fish!!! We grilled our fresh fish just after the catch near the seaside without all those exaggerating awful ingredients. We just used fresh ground pepper, sea salt, paprika powder, garlic, onion, turmeric, thyme, coriander, curry leaves and lime juice on our whole fish !!!

I thought you weren't supposed to mix fish with cheese?

I went fishing yesterday and brought some rock fish. Honestly, I don't like to eat fish but I saw your recipe and decided to give it a try. I loved it! This will be my favorite dish from now on. Thank you very much for such a simple an delicious recipe. My husband loved it too.

@TheRabidPosum ....yeah, serve the littlenecks steamed or on the half shell. Use the Cherrystone or Chowder for your homemade clam sauce.

@MrMegaFredzeppelin yeah except you NEVER cook littlenecks! That's sacriligious lol, eat em RAW! Unless your making clam sauce. Fish looks awesome though, gonna try this one too.

Didn't know that beer is a seasoning xD

That looks amazing!!

@gineko...so you're a chef, but do you fish? There's never enough garlic and butter when grilling Striper, and for most seafood for that matter. But that's a personal preference of course. And the beer is used to gently poach the fillet during the bbq, keeping it moist for the plate. Your comment about using "too much" of our favorings is your opinion, as I suspect you've never attempted to grill a fish any other way than what some culinary school "professor" taught you. Be creative and live.
